Pyro Painter

 

 

The pyropainter has a very precise and unique method for creating his artwork.  First, he starts a controlled fire and takes pictures of the blaze; exploring the complex formations and capturing the natural movements of the flames on his digital camera.  He slowly stalks around the fire, concentrating on finding the most interesting angles that portray the flames as if they are coming to life.  Next, he manipulates the digital images into a rough composition.  Whether the flames erupt into a gritty Gothic city skyline or the form of a demonic wraith, the pyropainter makes clever use of the organic quality of the fiery licks to create a base for his artwork.  Then he dives deeper into the piece, creating sharp, captivating details with acrylics.  By finalizing the artwork with his painting skills, the pyropainter creates hauntingly realistic images with their own individuality and back story.  The result is an intriguing presentation of what one artist can see and create out of a fire and some paint.
